Saint Lucia records case #142 of COVID-19

Today, Tuesday November 10, 2020 the Ministry of Health received confirmation of one new case of COVID-19 which brings the total number of cases diagnosed to date in country to 142. Following this individual presenting to a health facility and assessed and tested for COVID-19, he was placed in quarantine while awaiting the receipt of his test results.

Saint Lucia records its first COVID-19 death

The Ministry of Health today, Tuesday November 10, 2020, received confirmation of its first COVID-19 death in country. The individual is a 47 year old male from the Micoud District. He presented at one of our hospitals due to the complications of underlying medical conditions where he was treated and being managed for these issues.

Saint Lucia records cases #132 to #141 of COVID-19

Today, Monday November 9, 2020 the Ministry of Health received confirmation of ten new cases of COVID-19. The total number of cases diagnosed in country to date now totals 141. All of the cases, following being tested for COVID-19, were placed in quarantine to await their test results. Eight of these cases were identified through the contact tracing process and epidemiological links have been established for these eight cases.

Saint Lucia records 13 new cases of COVID-19

Today, Saturday November 7, 2020 the Ministry of Health received confirmation of 13 new cases of COVID-19. This brings the total number of cases diagnosed in country to date to 123. All of the cases, following testing for COVID-19, were placed in quarantine awaiting their test results. Five of these cases were identified through the contact tracing process and epidemiological links have been established for five of these cases.

Visitor Schedule to the Pigeon Island National Landmark

In an effort to ensure the spread of the COVID-19 virus is curtailed, the SLNT shall be permitting foreign visitors to the Landmark on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday of each week. The SLNT has informed the Saint Lucia Hospitality and Tourism Association (SLHTA) of such, and is asking hotel establishments who are interested in having their guests visit the Landmark, to contact the SLNT.

Today, Friday November 6, 2020 the Ministry of Health received confirmation of four new cases of COVID-19. This brings the total number of cases diagnosed in country to date to 110. All of the cases, following testing for COVID-19, were placed in quarantine awaiting their test results. All four of these cases were identified through the contact tracing process. Epidemiological links have been established for all four cases.

Today, Wednesday November 4, 2020 the Ministry of Health received confirmation of eight new cases of COVID-19. This brings the total number of cases diagnosed in country to date to 105. The new cases now bring the number of active cases currently in country to 73. All cases remain stable and there is no cases requiring critical care.
