Today Digicel is ensuring the promise of being Better Together this Christmas is kept with the handing over of seven (7) tablets to the Special Olympics of St. Lucia.
With a small ceremony at its FlagShip Store in Castries, in front of a few media entities, staff and customers Mrs. Theodora George, Board Secretary of Special Olympics St. Lucia was the lone recipient of the tablets.
Commenting on the initiative, Mrs. George said; “From the bottom of my heart I want to say thank you to Digicel. Not just for the tablets, but for also partnering with Special Olympics St. Lucia on so many ventures. We are happy for this relationship and we look forward to it continuing to blossom. This donation will truly help to brighten our Christmas, especially in these trying times.”
On hand for the hand over was Digicel’s Marketing Executive Ms. Tishanna Jeffers. When asked about the initiative she said; “Special Olympics St. Lucia and Digicel has a relationship that spans years and when thinking about the Corporate Social Initiatives we wanted to undertake this Christmas Season, this came as a no brainer. As the Covid pandemic continues to affect the way we live, work and study it has become imperative for students to have access to learning devices to be able to continue their studies and the students of Special Olympics St. Lucia should not be left out; so it is on this premise we decided to donate these tablets. It is our hope that the students would put the tablets to good use and continue to strive for excellence as they have been doing ever so well.”
Digicel will be undertaking many more Corporate Social Initiatives this Christmas, as it is our hope to make our customers smile and truly be Better Together!
