A breach of the protocols was noted by a guest and as such, the individual was subsequently transferred with the assistance of law enforcement and the Saint Lucia Fire Service via ambulance to a Government operated quarantine site where daily screening is being observed over a 14 day period.
Today Sunday November 22, 2020, the Ministry of Health received confirmation of 16 new cases of COVID-19. This brings the total number of cases diagnosed in country to date to 220. All of these individuals, after being assessed and tested for COVID-19, were placed in quarantine by health practitioners while awaiting their test results.
Today Thursday November 19, 2020, the Ministry of Health received confirmation of 20 new cases of COVID-19. This brings the total number of cases diagnosed in country to date to 203. Ten of the cases are non-nationals. Two of these cases are visitors to Saint Lucia. Case #186 is a 28 year old female visitor and case #190 is a 29 year old male visitor. Both of these individuals arrived in Saint Lucia on Monday November 16, 2020.
The Government of Saint Lucia following continued and extensive consultation over the past two years with key stakeholders in the tourism industry, will enact a government tax named the “Tourism Levy”. Revenue collected from this tax is earmarked for tourism marketing and development.
The Embassy of the United States of America has informed the Government of Saint Lucia that it has resumed services for issuance of routine tourist, student and business visas in the B1/B2 category at the U.S. Embassy Consular Section in Barbados as of Monday 16th November 2020, with the next available open appointments starting 1st December 2020.

The Ministry of Health today Friday November 13, 2020 received confirmation of four new cases of COVID-19. This brings the total number of cases diagnosed in country to date to 160.
Today Thursday November 12, 2020 the Ministry of Health received confirmation of eight new cases of COVID-19. This brings the total number of cases diagnosed in country to date to 156. These individuals were seen at a community health facility, where they were assessed and tested for COVID-19.
