Forest Springs to begin exporting within the Caribbean Region

Another Saint Lucian manufacturer is set to begin exporting within the Caribbean Region at the end of August. Forest Springs, a producer of natural mineral spring water, having been introduced to two prospective buyers by Export Saint Lucia, will finally see months-long negotiations bear fruit.

This new venture stems from the success of a trade mission to Saint Vincent and Grenada earlier this year. While Forest Springs was not on the mission, on-going market research and technical assistance from export Saint Lucia led to discussions with prospective buyers, making this possible.

The first shipment to Saint Vincent and Dominica will consist of 2,300 cases in assorted sizes. The second consignment of 2,100 cases will be shipped to Dominica in September.

Commenting on the new venture , CEO of Export Saint Lucia Sunita Daniel notes, “Our Agency has not been spared by the effect of COVID. Many of the leads that resulted for the Saint Vincent, Grenada Mission had been put on hold as prospective buyers battled with the economic impact of the pandemic. Nevertheless, we continue to push on, keeping in contact with these buyers, and this export for Forest Springs is a direct result of our perseverance.”

Forest Springs Managing Director said that he was pleased to see that this entire process yielded fruit and the prospects for growth in quantity seem favourable. “There was never any doubt in our minds of the extremely high quality of our water. Once the samples were sent, we were confident that it was just a matter of time for the deal to be sealed.
