First Appointments by Prime Minister

Prime Minister, Hon. Philip J. Pierre received his Warrant of Appoint assigning him responsibility for the portfolios of Finance, Economic Development and the Youth Economy. Prime Minister Pierre has maintained the established tradition by assuming responsibility for the country’s most important ministerial portfolios. His professional qualifications in economics and business management will be well utilised in the portfolios.

Attorney-at-law, Mr. Leslie Mondesir, sworn in as the Attorney General of Saint Lucia

Also appointed today was attorney-at-law, Mr. Leslie Mondesir, who was sworn in as the Attorney General of Saint Lucia bringing into effect the first two mandatory executive positions required by the Constitution of Saint Lucia. Honourable Leslie Mondesir, who brings 21 years of experience as a practicing attorney, will serve in the Cabinet of Ministers as the chief legal advisor.
The final appointment today was of Ms. Maundy A. L. Lewis who will serve as the Press Secretary to the Prime Minister. Ms. Lewis transitions from her role as Communications Officer for the Saint Lucia Labour Party and will serve as the chief spokesperson to the Prime Minister.

It is expected that the other Cabinet Ministers will be sworn in at a live streamed ceremony to take place at Mindoo Philip Park next Thursday August 5th.
