59 Schools Scheduled to Audition for National Schools Calypso and Soca Competition

A total of fifty-nine (59) schools across Saint Lucia will participate in this year’s National Schools Calypso and Soca Competition Auditions. In the Calypso category, twenty-six (26) primary and fourteen (14) secondary schools will audition, while fourteen (14) primary and nine (9) secondary schools will audition in the Soca category. The schools are set to face a panel of judges on Monday May 5th and Tuesday May 6th to be a part of this year’s competition. The participating Schools are as follows;

Qualifiers will undertake a series of training sessions to prepare them for competition. The National Primary Schools Calypso and Soca Competition is scheduled for 10:00am Wednesday, June 3rd, while the Secondary Schools Calypso and Soca is scheduled for Friday, June 5th. The events will be held at the Mindoo Philip Park, Castries. Tickets for this year’s competition cost EC$10 per student and EC$20.
