Hunte and Mrs. Lelia Harracksingh, the Cabinet of Ministers is pleased to announce following:<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0in; text-align: justify; text-justify: inter-ideograph; font-stretch: normal; min-height: 12px;\"><span style=\"color: black;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0in; text-align: justify; text-justify: inter-ideograph; font-stretch: normal;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif; color: black;\">The Castries Gros-Islet Highway will be renamed The Sir Julian R. Hunte Highway and the Desruisseaux Wellness Centre will be renamed The Lelia Harracksingh Wellness Centre.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0in; text-align: justify; text-justify: inter-ideograph; font-stretch: normal; min-height: 12px;\"><span style=\"color: black;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0in; text-align: justify; text-justify: inter-ideograph; font-stretch: normal;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif; color: black;\">Sir Julian R. Hunte is a former Cabinet Minister and served as the President of the United Nations General Assembly from 2003 to 2004 during its 58th regular session. Sir Julian served as a Member of Parliament from 1987 to1996 having represented the constituency of Gros Islet He co-founded the Saint Lucia National trust and has been a sports enthusiast, serving as a National Cricketer and a Cricket administrator. In 2014 Sir Julian was Knighted by Queen Elizabeth the second.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0in; text-align: justify; text-justify: inter-ideograph; font-stretch: normal; min-height: 12px;\"><span style=\"color: black;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0in; text-align: justify; text-justify: inter-ideograph; font-stretch: normal;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif; color: black;\">Mrs. Lelia Harracksingh is a valuable member of the Community who is highly regarded as a leader, educator and political figure. She has been a family Nurse Practitioner who has always put people at the forefront. She has served as President of the Saint Lucia Nurses Association and as a Senator in the Parliament of Saint Lucia. Mrs. Harracksingh has been an advocate for youth and a Community leader.
