As part of our mandate, WASCO will lead the\ncharge this year in stamping the message of conservation and sustainable water\nuse in the workplace and at home.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This year\u2019s theme, \u2018Leaving No One Behind\u2019, calls attention to a\ncore objective of Sustainable Development Goal number six&#8211;to make water\naccessible to all by 2030.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Despite best efforts\nat reaching this objective by individuals and organizations around the world,\nbillions of people especially marginalized groups \u2013 women, children, refugees,\nindigenous peoples, disabled people and many others are still living without\naccess to safe water today.&nbsp; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As a utility company WASCO has embarked on a number of projects\nthat are intended to make water more accessible to households, businesses and\ncommunities across the island. Some of these projects include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>The Hill 20 to La Croix\nBabonneau Pipe Extension Project, <\/li><li>The Arsene James Ti Rocher\nMicoud to Micoud Village Water Pipeline Project, <\/li><li>The Dennery North Water\nDevelopment Project\u2014Phase 1 and 2<\/li><li>The Bouton\/Soufriere Storage\nTank and Pipeline Project<\/li><li>The John Compton Dam\nRehabilitation and Desilting Project<\/li><li>The Millet Intake\nrehabilitation Project and the <\/li><li>Vieux Fort Water\nRedevelopment Project <\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition to the works being undertaken by WASCO we are also\nembarking on a public education and sensitization drive to help raise the\nawareness of the proper management of the water resource.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>While the main activities in observance of World Water Day will be\nshowcased at our Headquarters at L\u2019anse Rd, Castries on Friday March 22<sup>nd<\/sup>\nfrom 10 am to 4pm, we will simultaneously hold our Customer Appreciation Day\nActivities on the same date at all our branches which are located in Castries\nSoufriere and Vieux Fort. \n\nWe encourage you to visit any of our branches and be a part of this\nexciting celebration this Friday!\n\n\n\n<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>WASCO\u2019S Observance of World Water Day The Water and Sewerage Company Incorporated WASCO joins the international community in the annual observance of World Water Day on March 22nd 2019.
