Police Investigates Vicious Attack which leaves 1 Man Dead and 1 Injured

One man is dead and his female companion is nursing injuries in hospital after a vicious attack on the couple on Saturday evening.

Police reports indicate that Kwasa Francois and Ava Louis of Monier were traveling along the Millennium Highway on their way to Castries, when they picked two individuals who were known to them. Reports further indicate that at some point Francois met his demise during brutally beating by the individuals over what police believe was a business deal that went sour.

Hon. Dr. Kenny D. Anthony Visits the Families of the 2 Missing Fishermen

On Saturday, November 16, 2013, Prime Minister and Parliamentary Representative for Vieux-Fort South, Hon. Dr. Kenny D. Anthony, paid a visit to the families of the two missing fishermen in Vieux-Fort.

Prime Minister Anthony took the time to express his sorrow and concern by visiting the homes of the immediate relatives of Mr. Ishan Calixte, who, at the time of his disappearance resided in the Baccardere, Vieux-Fort.

Lucian Peoples Movement Critizes PM on State of Economy
Prime Minister Dr Kenny Anthony is the subject of strong criticism from the Lucian Peoples Movement, for what the party describes as the sorry state of the local economy.  

LPM Leader Therold Prudent notes that after weeks of paying close attention to the irrational behaviour and responses of the government of Saint Lucia to the frightening level of unemployment in the country, coupled with a recent admission by Prime Minister Dr Kenny Anthony that some Caribbean nations were on the brink of economic collapse, party cautions Saint Lucia to take that warning very seriously.
