Police have confirmed that an individual who is believed to have been incarcerated at the Bordelais Correctional Facility has escaped lawful custody.

The incident apparently occurred in Vieux Fort on Monday.

It is expected to reduce transmission of the mosquito borne zika virus, and educating people on sustainable practices to reduce the spread of the virus.

Castries City Council to Crackdown on Citizens' Unhealthy Behaviour In Public
The Castries City Council is cracking down on unhealthy behaviour by citizens in an effort to add to the aesthetic appeal of the city.

The announcement was made by Peterson Francis who stressed that in addition to being unhygienic, the age old practice of indiscriminate urination is also illegal.

The family of a man who is suspected to have drowned on Sunday near Smugglers Cove have expressed mixed feelings after his body was fished out of the sea this morning.

Kieron Cornibert was one of two people who is believed to have been kayaking near the resort on Sunday before submerging in the water.
