The impact of bomb threats on the resources of the police force has become a major cause for concern following a series of calls that halted business in the capital on Monday.

St. Lucia Mourns the Passing of Equine Industry Consultant Winston Trim

Winston Andrew Trim was a true pioneer for the horse racing culture in Saint Lucia. Prime Minister Honourable Allen Chastanet said as much when he spoke on Monday about the 50-year-old who lost his life on Sunday March 26th 2017 in an automobile accident in Micoud.

At the time of his death, Equine Industry Consultant Winston Trim had been working closely with the Government of Saint Lucia and Desert Star Holdings Limited on building Saint Lucia’s first horse racing facility as part of the Pearl of the Caribbean project in the town of Vieux Fort.

Local Motorist Lauds Plans for Installation of Parking Meters in Castries

Plans for the pending installation of parking meters that will alleviate parking issues in Castries have been applauded by a local motorist.

The announcement was recently made by the Chairman on the Castries Constituencies council Peterson Francis, who explained that the device will assist with congestion and other traffic problems in the city.

Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding a fatal accident which occurred on Sunday, March 26, 2017, about 4:00 p.m. at Escap, Micoud.

The incident involved a minibus registration number M791, travelling in the direction of Castries, and a motorcycle travelling toward Vieux Fort.
